আমাদের কথা

Built by neighbours, run by neighbours

Salt Lake BE (East) Connect is a registered residents' body serving every household of BE Block, Salt Lake City, Sector I, Kolkata 700064.

Who we are

BE Block East Residents Welfare Association was formed in 1978, when the first families of the block came together to look after shared roads, water supply and security. Nearly five decades later the same spirit runs the association — voluntary, unpaid and answerable to the general body.

Every household in the block is a member. An elected committee of twelve members serves a two-year term, meets monthly, and publishes accounts and minutes for all residents to read.

Our biggest undertaking each year remains the community Durga Puja, run entirely by resident volunteers, from the mandap design to the bhog kitchen.
